Letter of Intent
To Whom It May Concern:
I would welcome the opportunity to continue my teaching career with a new team of education professionals. I have a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as a Master of Professional Writing, from the University of Oklahoma. Since moving to Houston in 2011, I completed the alternative certification program through Texas Teachers.
In 2012, I began my teaching career at Lantrip Elementary in a self-contained second grade classroom. Since 2013, I have taught fourth grade in a self-contained ESL classroom—implementing a Project Based Learning (PBL) and rotation style Blended Learning environment. I have had the opportunity to be the grade level chair, as well as the writing lead teacher, for a team of five. Lantrip has built such a positive foundation in my teaching career, and I am forever grateful for the experience.
It is my goal to inspire and motivate students for high achievement through a strong foundation of classroom management, differentiated instruction, and blended learning strategies. I promote an environment that is supportive and recognizes the diverse learning styles of all students. Lesson plans meet students’ diverse interests and demonstrate direct connections between the classroom, everyday life, and the digital age.
I recognize that learning never stops—for student or teacher; and I look forward to further developing my own knowledge from experienced teachers, as well as evolving my own flexible teaching style driven by student needs.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Aubrey L. Kinat
